Oliver Schwarzwald (german photographer) recently created this series of editorial photographs for german mag Feld Homme. The photographs consists of assorted food stuffs that is typically eaten for breakfast in different countries.
Personally, I don't think it was intended to be taken too literal, with some foods perhaps under-represented (eg US breakie that is sans bacon). But what an interesting conceptual and creative work, showing only the food, no containers. Nicely executed.
